I love these long weekends, no uniforms, just relaxing and scrappin and oh yah making baskets...sure not making any more babies..hee hee. Okay so yah today I did a couple of layouts, completed one basket and started on a bigger one. I did another rectangle basket with flowers and I am going to leave it unstained. I am working on a bigger basket now..see the pic below in hopes that I finish the braiding tomorrow if not tonight, but my wrist hurt. The braiding can be a lil painful on the fingers, depending on how big you have to make it and or how many. My wrist hurt alot too...but the finish product is soo worth it .. well that is all I have to talk about today...Nothing really too exciting .. but hey it is exciting to me ... to have more than one talent...you know?
Well below are the pics..the big one I am still working on .. I really like how this one turned out..I use this one for my thickers, and regular long stickers and they fit in perfectly ... the long way. I am so excited and happy I took the class on base in Japan when I did, they offer so much at times at the overseas bases, I have taken a framing class, pottery class, and my next stop is wood shop I think. I want to build my own scrapbook table/storage one day...I mean I feel that you get better usage out of items you make for yourself and or that someone else personally makes for you, than going to the store and spending an arm and a leg on something that is going to collect dust, but that is just my personal opinion...who the heck am I you know...well here is the other one that is almost complete but not really...
