I usually am light on the gifts around the holidays for others
in other words I just do not give them to much thinking, time and money.
I send cards and call it a day
this year I am making Ms. Inglat my son's 1st grade teacher a mini album that she can fill in on her own with her own memories of the school year and a card that Elijah will sign.

I was challenged by my gal pal Leah Farquharson, she is really good at doing them and wanted to challenge me to step outside of my one page wonder comfort zone. I still kind of did it as though it was a one pager but hey baby steps people, baby steps lol.
Well there are going to be plenty more of this coming your way in the upcoming year. So speaking of we all know the traditional "word of the year" is coming up. What is your word going to be and have you even given it any thought?
I chose Bajiggity last year .. and not really sure what I am going for this year. I think I have an idea but just like my underwear it keeps changing.

was so good to my soul last night .. as I devoured my husbands cooking .. yes I married a southern man from Bama that can THROW DOWN in the kitchen .. he cooks damn near all of our meals because he loves to . .we ate our usual traditional New Years dinner
We had some collard greens, black-eyed peas, corn bread and pot roast .. YUM. All from SCRATCH. Yall it was so good I wanted to fly all the way to ALABAMA and SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF HIS MAMA .. and mind you I been wanting to do that going on 16yrs now .. HEFFAH.
Speaking of fabulous husbands his birthday is TODAY.
